Parent Survey
I developed a parent survey on survey monkey to connect with parents and develop a baseline for better understanding my students lifestyles at home when it comes to outdoor activities. I used the information in this survey to better develop engaging lessons, and used parent input to focus my lessons on specific goals that they helped to create for their student.
Student Survey
I conducted three rounds of student surveys for this project. The first survey was similar to the parent survey and focused on how much time students spent outside, if they liked learning outside, what they would like to learn outside, and how much time they wish they could spend learning outdoors.
The second survey was about our classroom environment and how we could better integrate elements from nature into our classroom, and how we can work to take care of our indoor and outdoor environment.
The third survey was conducted after adding in more elements from nature and transitioning the classroom to a more natural space. This survey was intended to measure students perspectives on the two versions of the classroom and measure their preferences for a more natural aesthetic in the class.

Teacher Survey
I sent out a teacher survey at the beginning of my project to touch base with some of the other division one teachers in the school. I was hoping to gain more insight as to how much teachers at my practicum school were relying on outdoor education methods. I also sent out the same survey to some other colleagues who are teaching in division one classrooms to compare my school to some other schools across the province. I asked teachers about how much time they spend teaching outdoors, and what some of their concerns about it may be. Here are the results and my conclusions on the survey.
